Anstruther Harbour Festival 2016 - programme - this is the running order of events at the Festival

SATURDAY JUNE 4

All day                    Anstruther Muster of visiting boats from all around the east coast, and Classic Boat Rally of historic fishing vessels, yachts and working boats
All day MacBus mobile history museum : exhibition "Moving Stories" exploring the Great War from a Fife perspective + animated film "Sea Front’"
All day Best-Dressed Shop Window competition - look out for the shopwindows competing for prizes donated by Anstruther Community Kist
10 - 10:30am   Pipe Band Parade from Waid Academy to Harbourfront; band plays at harbourfront for about 15 minutes then marches back to Waid
10am - 4pm ANSTER FAIR  in harbourfront marquee and in old Sun Tavern adjacent to Fisheries Museum - craft stalls and local artisan food and drink purveyors
10am - 4pm ANSTER FAIR  Kids activities in main marquee on pier; Face painting from 10am;  Kids crafts 2-4pm
10am-3:30pm  Model Boat  Club exhibition in Scottish Fisheries Museum workshop
10am-4pm Lang Toun Model Boats - radio controlled model boats on their own pond on the middle pier
10am-4pm Hamish the Hielan Coo van and his Visitscotland Coo-visors, offering tourism information for the whole of Scotland
11am - 4pm Scottish Fisheries Museum Open Day with free entry, and  fish-wives story telling, other activities & exhibition on the Royal Navy in WW1
11am - 5pm Osprey Rib 'Coastal Dash' Cruises along the East Neuk coast - http://www.isleofmayboattrips.co.uk/
10am & 1.30pm Candle-making workshop with Jo Macfarlane in the Museum's old Sun Tavern building

11:30-12:30 Shedlock Jazz Duo - rock, jazz and new music in main marqiuee on pier
from 11.30am Fishermans Larder seafood demonstrations by Jim Knox in harbourfront marquee - also at 12.30, 1.30pm, and 2.30pm
11:45-12:30      Submariners Memorial service for 1918 Battle of May Island, at East Basin Car Park
12:30-2pm  Crosswater band in main marquee on pier - eclectic mix of jazz, blues and swing
 1pm - 4pm St Ayles Rowing Community Challenge with teams from local businesses and organisations, at East Basin beach area
from 2.30pm Sailing drifter 'Reaper' brings in Fisher Lad & Lass for naming ceremony
from 3pm Historic 71' sailing drifter 'Reaper' with its below deck exhibition of the herring fishery, open to the public
3:30 - 4:15pm Cupar Amateur Musical Society - show-tunes from 'Carousel', '42nd Street", 'Oliver!', 'Annie Get Your Gun', in main marquee on pier
4:30 - 6pm  Measach Ceilidh Band - on  stage at harbourfront
6pm - 7pm  Dunedin Dancers  Scottish country dancing display, then leading audience participation, in main marquee on middle pier
7pm Award of trophies for Anstruther Muster and Classic Boat Rally in main marquee on middle pier
7pm - 10:30pm Traditional ceilidh with top ceilidh band Nackytoosh, and audience participation in scottish country dancing,  in main marquee on middle pier FREE ENTRY
10:30pm GRAND FIREWORKS DISPLAY with viewing from East Basin Car Park next to Lifeboat station

1.15 - 3.15pm Grace Black Jazz Band - Grace sings old favourites, easy-listening, a little of everything!
11am - 5pm Scottish Fisheries Museum (children free) & exhibition on the Royal Navy in WW1

Gilbert & Sullivan Society from St. Andrews University sing songs from several G&S operettas

4-5pm Rob Mason & Colin Donati Duo perform songs Colin has written along with Irish/Scottish folk songs at harbourfront stage
5pm - 7pm Measach Ceilidh Band - on  stage at harbourfront in main marquee on pier
8.30pm Raffle Prize Draw in main marquee on pier
7pm - 10pm  Rock concert in main marquee on pier with Uncle Red rockability rock and roll band, FREE ENTRY
